This is a modern adaptation of the novel The Last Leaf.
Part 1. An Uneasy Atmosphere
"There aren't many left now..."
A man sat on a park bench, looking at the tree in front of him, thinking. There were only a few leaves on the tree. The atmosphere in the park was bleak. The weather grew colder, and the man's frustration grew. Looking at the few leaves, the man fell into deep thought.
Part 2. Falling Leaves
"No!"
Just then, a leaf fell. The man's cry echoed throughout the park, but the leaf fell silently, unaffected by the echo.
The man had given up everything. He thought to himself.
'If everything disappears, will I disappear too?'
The man felt a deep sense of frustration.
Part 3. What Frustrates Us in This Age
The man took his bankbook out of his pocket and opened it.
"I have $120 left... How many days will I last on this?..."
Money is essential for living in this day and age. The man is deeply frustrated by the dwindling amount.
"If only someone would give me money, I could maintain my hope in life..."
